We Baked It Ourselves With LOVE!! Vegan Banana Bread

Ingredients

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup margarine, at room temp
3 very ripe bananas, mashed well
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup vanilla soy milk, mixed with 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
(I sometimes use water or just normal milk...not vegan I know but also good!)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

Just mix everything together in a bowl and there you go! easy! It's ready for the oven!

It's quick. It's easy. It's super tasty! Everyone loves it! That's why there's only onE little piece left in the picture...that's what it usually looks like 10 minutes after coming out of the oven!
I can never take a perfect photo.
Ohh and it's also super tasty with apple instead of banana!! yummy!
It's only vegan because I didn't have a fridge when I first moved to Vienna..so we lived sort of vegan for a couple of months. I still make it like this though...because this recipe is just perfect!
I found it on the post punk kitchen it's a great site!
(We Baked it Ourselves With LOVE is back!! wohooo)

Show Me How You Live

PART 1

We've decided to introduce a new feature to this blog!
We want to show you how we live..."we" meaning students. Recently I've noticed that all my friends have really beautiful flats. Which got me thinking...when you talk to adults (like our parents..we're also adults but you know what I mean) they usually seem to be under the impression that everything is kind of thrown together and that we have beer bottles in every corner or something. I'm not saying that there are no beer bottles or that our flats are totally organized and perfectly put together but I don't seem to know anyone who just has bare walls and a mattress on the floor with lots of empty bottles everywhere...do you?

Anyway we've decided to share one home every month..because we love how different everyone is and also...it's always fun to see how other people live and to catch a glimpse into another person's life.

So to start of the series we'll start with Andrea's flat.

The hallway and kitchen

I live with two roommates Hannah and Flo. Sophia recently moved to Iceland as some of you may know :( But it's all good Hannah is great! The two of us have redecorated our hallway a bit to personalize it. We used to have a third chair hanging above the table but we thought that Lennon and Yoko Ono look much better there. The chair now hangs above Flo's shoe shelves. Oh and I got this beautiful Clock from Matthias for my birthday. Look how great it looks!

Matthias brought me little presents from everywhere he went on his trip to the US. (He's so great right??)
This is from a amish store. I love the saying! It's just so true! It now hangs above our sink in the kitchen

Some of my shoes...and my beautiful apron that Hani got me! It's red and has hearts and always makes
me feel like minnie mouse!! Obviously..it's the perfect thing for me!

Our little shelve in the kitchen with some of our favourite fun stuff. I love silly little things that are also practical...
simply because they always make me smile. Like the paprika baking dish or my new babushka measuring cups.

This is my little carafe which is really pretty. Especially with home made lemonade in it!
Funny little story: I bought the same one in a thrift store back home but forgot to bring it to Vienna and one day... Matthias surprised me with this one not knowing that I already bought the same one. How random is it that both of us bought the same carafe in different thrift stores. We were meant to be! Both the carafes and me and you know...my guy!

My little salt and pepper hippos! Frieda and Heinrich.
Hannah's awesome chinese paper plate thingies...and my new amish cook books! can't wait to try making and baking everything in them!!
Noo... they're not always spread out like this on the kitchen table but I wanted to show them to you and I thought this fit in quite nicely.

Since we don't have a lot of space we keep the table folded like this and with only two chairs but when we all
eat together you can fold the the other half of the table up and put some chairs around the table...BOOM...room for everyone!

The bathroom

A little peep into our little bathroom!
We got this towel holder from our landlord and we love it!

The bedroom

My beloved dresses! Why would you want to wear anything else?
Well I also own a lot of everything else but I love my dresses more than anything else!
I consider them colour coordinated...but thanks to these pictures I can finally understand how not everyone might see it that way --> Sophia!

Some of my boots. Check out my beautiful new babies...the red cowboy boots! They're finally mine!!
I spend ten years searching for the perfect pair and finally...FINALLY!! TEN FREAKIN' YEARS!!

$50 which is about 30€ and this is a pretty good price..more than most of my other boots but I was prepared to pay way more!
Thank you Matthias and New York! For bringing us together!
He didn't pay for them he just got them for me...he doesn't buy everything I own^^

Some of my "sporty" shoes and My little necklace teapot. I love getting special little hooks from flea markets or thrift stores for my jewellery. Also Urban Outfitters usually has darn cute ones!
The roses were a post card I got from Matthias when he lived in seperate countries. It's so kitschy and adorable.

My cool piggy bank! It makes meow sounds when you put money in...
It's fun  the first couple of times but then after a while if you have more then 1 coin to throw in...you just want to bash it against a wall!
Still love to love it though!

My records and my Egon Schiele pictures...and a new addition: Andy Warhol.
I have one more Schiele picture in my room It's on the wall above my bed...and it's my favourite one but I forgot to to take a photo so well this is all you get!

My fabric stash...and my disney movies and my will & grace seasons aaand my brady bunch complete series fuzzy special edition! wohooo!
Plus I love colour coordinating.

My 10 € couch with my 20 € table and my lovely little apple!
Oh and do you see my pretty fringe lamp?

My Accessorize SMILE pictures from back when...
Ohhh and of course my good friend...lovely sewing machine!
She sometimes doesn't like me very much but other times we're pretty good together!

This is my pretty bed with a whole lot of flowers! I made the headpiece myself..with a little help... it used to be just one of those plain ikea beds.
Im plan to upholster it but I'm still searching for affordable foam to put on it.
I painted it white and put some lights on it and I love it! I'll post a DIY with the headpiece when it's really finished.

The loo

We've got a little Beatles theme going on...we just love them around here! And it just kind of sneaked up on us.

My stylish new roommate Hannah hasn't settled in quite yet but as soon as she finishes her room I'll add it. It's gonna be pretty pretty I tell ya.

So that was it for our first home tour! hope you guys liked it!
